In the spirit of the Christmas celebration which signifies love and sacrifice, Chief Mrs Josephine Ilang, wife of famous Business man and Community Leader, Chief Livinus Ilang , on Tuesday distributed bags of rice, wrappers and cash to Widows and village woman leaders in Enyibichiri Community, Ikwo Local Government Area of the state.
Handing over the items to the women, Mrs Ilang said, the gesture was in appreciation to the grassroot support the women are giving the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and wfe Chief Mrs Mary Maudline Uzoamaka Ogbonna Nwifuru, and enjoined them to continue to support the first family in the state as in doing so, more dividends of democracy awaits them.
Mrs Ilang remarked that the state has witnessed all round transformation under Governor Francis Nwifuru and urged the women get their permanent voters card PVCs to vote for APC and governor Nwifuru come 2027 to enable him consolidate on the success already recorded by his administration in the state..
Speaking during the mini event, Chief Livinus Ilang, Who is also a board member, Ebonyi State Land Allocation Commission called on the women to continue pray for the governor and wife.
Chief Ilang admonished the women to beckon on their children to shun unholy act capable of causing breach of peace in the area.
On his part, the state Commissioner for Education Dr Donatus Ilang commended chief Mrs Josephine Ilang for remembering the windows and enjoined them to remain steadfast in supporting the current administration in the state.
On behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs Esther Nwaba from Ngbabe enyibichiri expressed joy over the Christmas gifts and assured Mrs Ilang of their continued support and solidarity to the state government.
Others present during the event include APC chairman, Enyibichiri, Mr Anayo Edukwu, woman leader, Mrs Philomena Nwankwo, chairman of all village Chairmen, Sir Friday Okwuru, among others lauded Mrs Ilang for remembering the widows and prayed for God's blessings and protection over the family.
