Okigwe, Imo State — Tragedy struck on Sunday as two police officers assigned to the Majority Leader of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Hon. Kingsley Ikoro, were killed by unidentified gunmen in Okigwe, Imo State.
According to eyewitnesses, the attack happened when the lawmaker’s convoy ran into mechanical trouble during a journey through the area. One of the vehicles reportedly broke down, forcing the policemen to remain behind while the rest of the entourage moved on.
