Help Restore Peace in Effium: Emegha Charges Ex-Lawmaker

The existence of peace in any society doubtlessly is a major precursor to developmental achievements. It also helps to increase life expectancy of the inhabitants. 

With the above fact insight, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi state, Hon Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha on Friday charged the former Deputy Whip of the state House of Assembly, Barr Frank Nwaka Onwe to as a matter of necessity to support the peace building efforts of Governor Nwifuru in his community, Effium in Ohaukwu council area. 

Chief Emegha who spoke during the defection of Onwe from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling party, APC noted that the state government alone cannot fully restore absolute peace and tranquility without the willingness and contributions of major stakeholders and the generality of the indigenous people of the area. 

The APC helmsman, Emegha thanked Onwe and his loyalists for taking the bold step and stressed the need for all to rally round Governor Nwifuru's human oriented administration for more dividends of democracy. He re-emphasized the resolve of the state government to accommodate every interest that can help to propel the socioeconomic wellbeing of Ebonyi people without any infraction. 
 
Chief Emegha reiterated his resolve to ensure that he brings every one into the APC fold for mutual benefits. 

Meanwhile, the ex-Lawmaker who represented Ohaukwu North Constituency in the Ebonyi state House of Assembly between 2011 and 2019, Hon Barr Frank Nwaka Onwe appreciated the warm reception he received from the party and commended the giant strides of the Governor so far.

 He also pledged to be a loyal party faithful who will be part of rebuilding his community and the state.
