Ikwo Council Boss Sets To Commence Payment Of Bursary To Students

The Executive Chairman, Ikwo Local Government Area, Hon Barr Sunday Nwankwo has approved the commencement of bursary payment to Students of higher of Ikwo orign.

In a statement jointly signed by the chairman and secretary, Ikwo Local Government bursary committe, Hon. Mrs Chinasa Itumo  and Hon. Sunday Ota, reads;
"In line with the Policy thrust of His Excellency, Rt.Hon.Bldr.Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, FNIOB, FCAI, GGCEHF, the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State to revolutionize the Education sector in the State anchored on the Peoples Charter of needs, the Executive Chairman of Ikwo Local Government Area, Hon.Barr. Sunday Basil Nwankwo has graciously approved the screening and payment of bursary to students of Ikwo origin in various higher institutions in Nigeria. This programme also falls in line with the actualization of the legacy mantra of his administration.

"To this end, the Ikwo Local Government Area Bursary  Committee hereby invites the under listed categories of students of Ikwo origin who are pursuing their regular Degree/ Higher National Diploma programmes in various higher institutions in Nigeria for screening for the first batch as scheduled below:
1. Monday, 13th November to Thursday, 16th November, 2023: Faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy and Law

2.Monday, 4th December to Thursday, 7th December, 2023: Faculties of Health Sciences, Engineering and Environmental Science 

3.Monday, 8 January  to Thursday, 11th January, 2024: Faculties of Natural and Applied Sciences.

4.Monday , 29th January to Thursday, 1st February, 2024: Faculties of Social Sciences , Management and Humanities.

5.Monday, 19th February to Thursday 22nd February, 2024: Faculties of Education and Agricultural Science.

Venue: Ikwo Local Government Council Hall, Onuebonyi Echara
Time: 9.00a.m. to 4.00p.m. daily
N/B: Students are to appear for the screening in person with the following requirements:
a) Original copies of JAMB and School admission letters
b) Valid school identity card
c.Current session's school fees receipt
d) Local Government identification letter
e) Two recent passport size photograph.

"Photocopies of the aforementioned documents  enclosed in a file jacket are to be submitted to the Bursary Committee.
Once again, screening of students is not by proxy".
