Visit other states across the federation, then you will understand that there’s difference between Chief Umahi and others. A man that portrays spectacular vision and strength with his all knowing mechanisms through which he has been able to dazzle people with his workaholic stride, no wonder why they call him the grandmaster of infrastructure.

The beauty of life is oftentimes justified by the essence of speed, the fast reaction and strength with which easiest things are resolved to better the ingredients that supports life to thrive generously.

It is on this ground that critical evaluation of projects that the executive Governor of Ebonyi state commissioned and completed within his three years in office as the Governor, verily stood tall for taste of time.

Throw back to the build up into 2015 general election that brought Chief Umahi to office as the Governor of Ebonyi state, a lot of criticisms bewildered the mind of people as characterized by several opinions from oppositions that he is only vying  for the seat to embezzle Ebonyi state funds while many saw no reason to vote him as Governor for just no cause. All these people were not against him because of personal experience with him, no not one, it was just a mare hatred and envy that Engr. (Chief) David Nweze Umahi may become the Governor and declare zero tolerance to psychological devaluation and other corrupt practices that have characterized Ebonyi state, hence becomes negative cross hindrance preventing Ebonyi from her desired emancipation for the past years.

Thank God for his mercies that through his grace, the expectations of Engr. Chief David Nweze Umahi was never cut short, at least he was able to start and completed most of the projects he initiated even at how gigantic they were, despite the state of decline in allocation, Chief Umahi was able to change the face of Ebonyi state and used his infrastructural prowess to better the lot of Ndi-Ebonyi within the little space of time he has demonstrated the mantle of leadership in his first tenure in office.

The recent African bank 80 million dollars approval that was signed by National Assembly and subsequently given accent by the president for the completion of Ebonyi ring roads has unanimously given nod to the fact that Chief Umahi is up again to complete his journey of emancipation of Ndi-Ebonyi state. While others are making noise, Chief Umahi is already going and coming back home from Middle East alongside other parts of the world to complement his research on how to further transform Ebonyi into an international business hub state. Take for instance the Gov. have ordered that the state ring roads projects be commenced by April this year is a clear evidence of talk and do worth of his person.

Having taken his education revolution to the current biggest industry in the state, EBSU, Chief Umahi was able to set target as part of his first assignment in his second tenure, signed and kick-off for immediate establishment of teaching hospital and faculty of engineering for the university that has lasted over 17yrs in the hands of other administrations without thinking it wise that the institution deserves teaching hospital and faculty of engineering in a state like Ebonyi where development is trending that should have been long established for infrastructural contemporaries to grow from the state university.

Now the judgement of the Igbo presidency in 2023 and the agitation of Ndigbo in Nigeria depends on the ability of Nigerians to take a critical look at the adage that says that charity begins at home.

With what Chief Umahi has done in Ebonyi within the space of three to four years in office, it is no doubt that if Nigerians would shun ethnicity and negligence to give a man of national strength like Chief Umahi chance to run for Igbo presidency by 2023, every other woes that have bedeviled Nigerian states will be a thing of past.

As wishes flows, I join the good people of Ebonyi state and other well meaning Nigerians to wish Governor Umahi well into his future politically.
