The endorsement was made during a prayer gathering at St. Joseph’s Anglican Church, Ekpelu, Ikwo LGA, where the ministers and Christian leaders prayed for peace, credible elections and a successful democratic process in Nigeria.
The programme opened with a prayer led by Evangelist Nicholas Oreke and was moderated by Venerable Chinedu Igwe. An exhortation was delivered by Venerable H.O.A. Muokwelum, while Most Rev. Umoke (Rtd.), Rev. Francis Oreke and Venerable Damian Ikechukwu, among others, emphasised the need for peace, righteousness, responsible leadership and the protection of the national interest ahead of the 2027 polls.
Reacting, Ogah, who also chairs the House Committee on Reformatory Institutions, thanked the Ikwo Noyo Ministers and other Christian leaders for their prayers, goodwill and confidence in his leadership.
The lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to effective representation, quality service delivery and people-oriented initiatives capable of translating government policies into tangible dividends of democracy across Ikwo/Ezza South.
As part of his support for the church and community, Ogah donated ₦1 million to St. Joseph’s Anglican Church, Ekpelu, to support its activities. He also approved over ₦2 million in additional take-home incentives for participants in appreciation of their presence, prayers and goodwill.
The gathering concluded with prayers led by Rev. Augustine Igwe, a vote of thanks by Apostle Simeon and a closing prayer by Rev. James Njoku.
The gathering represents another indication of the growing support for the continuity agenda of Ogah, Nwifuru and Tinubu, while reinforcing calls for a peaceful, credible and issue-driven 2027 electoral process.
