Ebonyi Community Dismisses Allegations Against Hon. Chinedu Ogah

The Ndufu Amagu Community Union in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State has dismissed recent allegations against the Member representing Ikwo/Ezza-South Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Comrade) Chinedu Ogah, OON, describing the claims as baseless, unfounded, and politically motivated.

Speaking to journalists immediately after the Union’s monthly meeting held at Ukwuachi, the ancestral home of Amagu Ikwo, the Youth President of the Union, Comrade Iganga Augustine, commended Hon. Ogah for his exemplary leadership, integrity, and unwavering commitment to community development. He noted that the federal lawmaker remains one of the most dedicated public servants in the history of the constituency.

Speaking in one voice, members of the Union affirmed that “anyone who rises for the downfall of another shall not succeed.”

Comrade Augustine condemned what he described as a campaign of calumny against Hon. Ogah, urging those behind the falsehoods to desist and seek reconciliation with the community’s ancestors and youths.

According to him, a young man who left Item Amagu over fifteen years ago was allegedly sponsored by political opponents to spread false and malicious information about the lawmaker on social media. He called on the individual to publicly apologize to Hon. Ogah, warning that continued defamation could attract “the wrath of the gods and ancestors.”

Reaffirming the community’s unwavering support for the federal lawmaker, Augustine highlighted Hon. Ogah’s numerous contributions to the socio-economic development of Ikwo/Ezza-South, describing them as “visible and verifiable.”

He noted that the elders, women, and other key political stakeholders of Ndufu Amagu strongly condemned the “barbaric” allegations and praised Hon. Ogah’s leadership style, which, according to them, has empowered countless individuals through various initiatives, including the distribution of motorcycles and other empowerment tools.

Describing Hon. Ogah as “a man of quality leadership and impeccable character,” Augustine emphasized that the lawmaker continues to promote unity, inclusion, and harmony in Amagu Ikwo, ensuring that development efforts benefit all members of the community rather than a select few.
