Ekwunife Felicitates Nigerians On International Day of Peace

The Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, Senator Uche Ekwunife, CON, has joined the global community in commemorating the International Day of Peace, observed annually on September 21.

This year’s theme, “Act Now for a Peaceful World”, highlights the urgent call for collective responsibility in building a society anchored on justice, tolerance, unity, and mutual respect.

Senator Ekwunife, in a statement she personally signed, described peace as the greatest asset any nation can possess, stressing that without it, sustainable development and meaningful progress remain unattainable. She urged Nigerians to embrace dialogue, empathy, and reconciliation in addressing conflicts at every level of society.

“As we mark this important day, we must remember that peace begins with each of us, extends to our families and communities, and ultimately strengthens our nation. I call on Ndi Anambra and indeed all Nigerians to work together in promoting peaceful coexistence, irrespective of political, ethnic, or religious differences,” Ekwunife stated.

She further noted that the International Day of Peace should not be seen as merely symbolic, but as a genuine call to action for citizens and leaders alike to create an environment where love, justice, and equality thrive.

Senator Ekwunife concluded by expressing optimism that, through collective resolve and God’s guidance, Nigeria will overcome its present challenges and emerge as a stronger and more peaceful nation.
