ALIKE IKWO YOUTH FORUM To Partner Leaders For Youth Inclusivity, Development

A socio-cultural and CAC registered Youth Organization, 'ALIKE IKWO YOUTH FORUM', has pledged  strategic partnership with leaders at various levels, particularly those of Alike Ikwo extraction, with the view of expanding the developmental frotiers of Alike Ikwo Community and empowering the youths for self sufficiency.

The Youth group equally, acknowledged the strategic contributions of past and present leaders of Alike Ikwo in the development of the community and called for its sustenance.

This was contained in a communique reached at the end of the Forum's extraordinary stakeholders meeting held recently, in Abakaliki and signed by the president of the Forum, Comrade Chinua Nwele and Secretary, 
Comrade Jacob Ogodo, and made available to Journalists in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital.

The communique reads in part;
"Alike Youth Forum, a Sociocultural youth organisation in Alike Ikwo, as part of our aims of galvanizing youths for inclusivity, unity, peace and development of our community, held an extra ordinary youth stakeholders meeting on 18th June 2025. The meeting after extensive deliberations on governance, developmental issues in our community, youth participation in leadership and the need for unity, peace and security awareness in Alike, resolved as follows:

"We commend our past and present leaders in Ikwo Local Government Area in general and Alike Ikwo in particular for their individual and collective efforts towards peace, security and development of Ikwo Noyo clan and beyond.

"The forum applauds past and present leaders of Alike Ikwo extraction for their selfless services to the Nation, State, Local Government and grassroots level. Their impact in their respective offices have left and is still leaving indelible footprint in the sand of time. We therefore call on those currently in position of leadership to do more in uplifting the socioeconomic development of Alike community.

"Alike Youth Forum acknowledge in  particular the peace Initiatives, infrastructure and human capital development spearheaded by leaders of Alike extraction who have held positions of trust at various levels, and therefore call on our youths to appreciate the efforts of our leaders; both past and present, and shun unpatriotic actions, derogatory remarks and attacks on any of them.

"We resolve to work with leaders at all levels to marshal out modalities on how to increase youth participation and support for good governance in Ebonyi state, Ikwo Local Government Area, Alike principal community, both locally and internationally.

"The meeting appreciate the initiative and resourcefulness of the leaders of Alike Ikwo Youth Forum, and urge all well meaning youths of Alike both at home and in diaspora to rally round the forum to effectively mobilize  Alike youths for meetings, educational activities, skill development, health promotion and social inclusion".
